Farrow Fields is a unique setting in the heart of Farnborough Village where we provide a nurturing, active and nature-based experience for children from 0 to 12 years old.
We started over 20 years ago in Locksbottom as a childminding business that has been rated good and outstanding by Ofsted and is consistently reviewed positively by parents, some of whom have been with us for over a decade.
We’ve recently expanded and moved to a new venue at Farnborough Sports Club where we have access to the beautiful green spaces of Farrow Fields. This move allows us to provide even more outdoor learning opportunities for the children in our care.
At Farrow Fields, we prioritise every child’s unique development. Our curriculum is designed around each child’s interests, skills, and developmental stage, ensuring a personalised approach to learning. Through a mix of structured activities and free play, we help children make excellent progress toward Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) outcomes.
We make full use of our outdoor setting to nurture children’s curiosity about the natural world. Our spacious grounds allow for exploration, physical activity, and hands-on learning, all of which enhance children’s understanding of their environment.
Our team fosters a supportive, positive, and inclusive atmosphere, where children develop strong social skills, confidence, and a love for learning. We celebrate every milestone and encourage children to take pride in their achievements.
At Farrow Fields we strongly believe that children learn not only from adults but from their peers, so in our setting children are not divided into age groups. We adapt all our activities so all children can participate no matter their age or stage of development.
We engage children in practical activities such as making pizzas, playing in our shop, or singing and dancing so that they have fun while developing skills, knowledge and understanding.
We spend as much time as possible in our beautiful outdoor spaces where children are involved in nurturing vegetables and plants, going on nature walks or just playing in and exploring the natural world.
Our small team works to create a family feel to the setting where we all share and collaborate in a safe & inclusive environment. We help children grow in self-confidence while they develop social skills and respect for others.
We believe that strong partnerships with parents are key to every child's success. We keep parents informed with daily updates, including photos and videos of their child’s activities, so they can stay connected to their child's progress. We also ensure our activities reflect the home experiences and cultures of the families we serve, creating a truly inclusive environment.
